1. About this policy

Brew & Bloom ("the app", "we", "us") built Brew & Bloom as a free study and focus app. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

• Account info — your email address, username, and chosen profile icon when you create an account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and name from Google.
• App usage data — your focus sessions, tasks, notes, drinks, and other content you create and store in the app.
• Payment info — processed entirely by Stripe. We do not see or store your card number. We receive confirmation (and your email) needed to grant Premium access.
• Spotify data — only if you connect Spotify, and only to the extent needed to play the music you choose.

3. How we use your data

• To operate, maintain, and personalize the app and your account.
• To process Premium subscriptions and provide the features you paid for.
• To send service emails (e.g., password resets, account notices).
• To improve the app and keep it secure.

4. How we share data

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with services needed to run the app: Google (Firebase hosting, authentication, and database), Stripe (payment processing), and Spotify (only if you connect it). Each of these has its own privacy policy.

5. Data storage & security

Your data is stored securely with Firebase (Google Cloud). We use industry-standard security practices and restrict database access through rules that allow only you to read and write your own account data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children's privacy

Brew & Bloom is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us so we can delete it.

7. Your choices & rights

• Access & correction — you can edit your username and profile icon in the app's Settings.
• Deletion — you can delete your account and all associated data from within the app's Settings. Deletion is permanent.
• Email & marketing — we send only service-required emails; we do not send marketing newsletters.

8. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently remove your account data from our systems. Some billing records required by law may be retained by our payment processor Stripe.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page. If changes are material, we may also notify you by email or a notice in the app.
